The Tartan
Radford’s bi-weekly student-run newspaper, The Tartan, features news and information about Radford University and the surrounding area and is distributed both on campus and around town. The newspaper also exists to provide an experimental ground for students so they can experience what it takes to make it as a journalist, whether they want to be a reporter, editor, copy editor, editor-in-chief, designer, or even something else entirely.
The Tartan strives to be the voice of the Radford University student body and stand for free speech for all Radford University students.
The Beehive
First and foremost, the Beehive strives to showcase the excellence of Radford University students and serve as a chronicle of the events which shape and build our campus community. As its oldest publication, it has been around to serve students for over 111 years now. The Beehive was first published in 1914 as The Radnor and gained a new name, The Beehive, in 1925 after the University’s school seal.
